Our Mission: Brain safer and healthier sports for everyone!

We are Northern Sports Insight and Intelligence, Finnish wearable technology startup. The company was established in 2017 to help sports becoming more brain safe and healthy. Make no mistake, WE LOVE SPORTS! The benefits of being physically active are indisputable. But there are some negative aspects, which must be addressed so that everyone can enjoy doing the sport they want and love to do. One of the biggest and gravest issues are frequent head impacts, violent forces acting on a head, and their consequences. There is frustratingly little modern medicine can do to fix what sports may cause or contribute to, there is no cure to Traumatic Brain Injuries or degenerative brain diseases or disorders. This means sports should do everything in their power to prevent unnecessary load, impacts and violent forces acting on a head. WE ARE HERE TO HELP! A whole lot can be done to make sports brain healthier, safer, and more enjoyable for everyone. Old and cheesy, but so true: if there is a will, there is a way. Awareness, attitude and behavior change is needed; Introduction of new effective tools, practices and procedures is must; Compliance has to be ensured; Enforcement should be definite.

Say “Farewell!” to gut-feelings and guestimation, firm “No!” to “well-it-did-not-look-that-bad-to-me” and ”I-thought-he/she/it-was-just-fine”. No more poor excuses why not, or making cosmetic changes that have no or very little effect. It is time to put the athletes 1st. IT IS TIME TO ACT.
